10mm Coreless Motor with Planetary Gearbox (Screw-Mount Ears)

♦ Basic Info:

Model: IND-10GMP10,  this Ø10mm coreless planetary gearmotor features a planetary gearbox with two mounting ears including screw holes for rigid fixation to a bracket or housing. It is intended for assemblies where mounting orientation and anti-rotation stability must be controlled by mechanical fasteners rather than adhesive or sleeve fits.

♦ Key Features:

  • Screw-mount ears with through holes for repeatable installation: suitable when the actuator must hold position and resist reaction torque in a compact module; simplifies bracket mounting and reduces assembly variation.
  • Ø10mm coreless motor & plastic planetary gearbox: compact reduction solution for lightweight mechanisms; performance can be matched to your target output speed/torque and duty cycle.
  • OEM configuration support: shaft length/style, lead wires and connectors, and optional encoder integration can be provided for sampling and production builds.

Difference vs IND-10GMP10 (No Ears Version)

This model uses a gearbox with screw-mount ears for fastening and positioning. If your product design locates the gearmotor via a sleeve fit, internal ribs, snap features, or adhesive bonding—and you prefer a cleaner cylindrical outline—the IND-10GMP10 (no mounting ears) is typically selected.
Share your installation drawing (mounting plane, screw size, allowable envelope) and we will recommend the correct gearbox style.

Typical Use Cases (Why Screw-Mount Ears Are Specified)

Screw-mount tabs are commonly specified when:

  • The gearmotor must be rigidly fixed to a bracket to control alignment
  • The mechanism produces reaction torque and anti-rotation is required
  • The assembly process needs repeatable positioning across production builds
  • Adhesive mounting is not preferred due to temperature, aging, or process control

For end-stop mechanisms, current limiting is recommended to avoid extended operation near stall conditions.

Product Introduction

This 10mm coreless planetary gearmotor is built around a Ø10mm coreless brushed DC motor and a plastic planetary gearbox, and it adds two mounting ears with screw holes for rigid fixation. In many compact actuator modules, housing ribs or adhesive bonding are not sufficient to control motor orientation or to resist reaction torque from the driven mechanism. The screw-mount ears provide a direct mechanical fastening method to a bracket or mounting plane, improving assembly repeatability and reducing shift under load.

The motor operates within a 1–14V DC range (typical supply options may include 1.5V, 3V, 7.4V and 12V depending on the configuration). Reference performance data (no-load/on-load/stall) can be used for sourcing comparison, but final selection should be confirmed by your target output speed, required torque and duty cycle. For mechanisms with hard end-stops or frequent start/stop cycles, current limiting is recommended to prevent prolonged stall operation.

FAQs

Q1: What is the advantage of screw-mount ears compared with a smooth cylindrical gearbox?

Screw-mount ears allow rigid fixation to a bracket/housing with defined orientation. This helps control alignment, improves repeatability in assembly, and provides better anti-rotation stability when the mechanism generates reaction torque.

Q2: How do I choose between this version and IND-10GMP10 (no mounting ears)?

Choose the screw-mount ear version when you need fastener-based mounting and controlled orientation. Choose IND-10GMP10 when your design uses sleeve fit/snap features/adhesive and you want a clean cylindrical envelope without tabs. If you share the mounting method and envelope constraints, we can recommend the correct version.

Q3: Can you customize the shaft, wires, connector, or add an encoder?

Yes. Shaft length/style, lead length, connector/terminal type, wire exit direction, and encoder integration can be configured for sampling and mass production (subject to space and performance requirements).
