The advantages

• 12mm open-frame spur gearbox, ratio range is selectable by build: Standard spur stage set supports ratios from 5:1 up to 500:1 (and 1000:1 option). This is configured by gearbox stack-up, so you can specify the ratio to hit your target output RPM under load.
• Coreless motor length is not fixed—choose by application (see “Alterable”): Same 12mm gearbox interface, but motor body length can be selected (e.g., 13 / 15 / 20 / 25 / 28 / 30 / 35 mm). Use the “Alterable” list to match duty cycle and available axial space.
• Default 55mm M4×0.7 threaded output shaft, or build to your shaft drawing: This version is supplied with a 55mm M4×0.7 threaded output shaft for direct lead-screw or nut drive. If you don’t need this shaft, provide the shaft diameter/length/thread/flat requirements—we can machine the shaft to your spec.

The IND-12GM12 open-frame 12mm spur coreless gear motor is designed for compact mechanisms where the gearbox needs to be small, accessible, and easy to configure. The unit uses a 12mm diameter open-frame spur gearbox and supports multiple reduction ratios (from 5:1 to 500:1, with 1000:1 available), allowing you to define output speed at load without changing the gearbox diameter.

To fit different product envelopes, the coreless DC motor length is selectable—please refer to the “Alterable” section (options such as 13mm, 15mm, 20mm, 25mm, 28mm, 30mm, 35mm). Electrical operation covers 2.5–32V DC, with rated voltage choices including 2.5V, 5V, 9V, 12V, and 24V.

This model is supplied with a 55mm M4×0.7 threaded output shaft for screw-driven mechanisms. If your assembly uses a different shaft interface, we can build the shaft to your drawing.

It lists the orderable configuration options. You can select rated voltage and motor body length (e.g., 13–35mm) based on your space and duty cycle, while keeping the same 12mm gearbox interface.

Q2. I don’t need the 55mm M4×0.7 threaded output shaft—can you change it?

Yes. Provide your required shaft drawing or parameters (diameter, usable length, thread spec, D-flat/keyway, tolerance), and we will build the output shaft accordingly.

Q3. How do I choose a gear ratio for my application?

Start from target RPM under load and required torque margin. Send your load torque, target output speed, duty cycle, and supply voltage. We will recommend a ratio (5:1–500:1, or 1000:1) and a suitable motor length from the “Alterable” options.
