♦ Overview:
The 16mm Open-Frame Coreless Gear Motor (MPN: IND-16GM16) is part of our spur gear motor family and is similar to the N20 Spur Gear Motor (IND-GM12N20), as both of them are use the same Open-Frame gearbox.
It pairs a 16mm open-frame spur gear gearbox with a 16mm coreless DC motor.
Its key advantage is flexibility: while keeping the same 16mm gearbox diameter and mounting interface, you can choose different motor body lengths (15–55 mm). This makes it easier to balance installation space and thermal headroom (heat dissipation) for your application.
♦ Alterable
Fast response, better control: Coreless DC motors have lower rotor inertia, so they accelerate and stop faster. This is ideal for frequent start/stop cycles and dynamic or changing loads.
Flexible motor length options: In Alterable → Motor Body Length, you can choose 15 / 18 / 20 / 25 / 30 mm to match your space and performance needs.
Stable under load: The coreless motor & metal spur gearbox combination delivers reliable performance during frequent start/stop and speed changes under load, making it suitable for demanding duty cycles.
To quote quickly, please send: voltage, target RPM (at load), required torque, duty cycle, motor length limit, and quantity. We will recommend a configuration and reply with price and lead time.
Customizable items: 1. Length and shape (A ); 2. Voltage, output speed, torque, etc. ; 3. Adding connectors, lead wires; 4. Adding gears to shaft; 5. Adding encoder.

Shorter lengths fit tighter spaces and lighter duty cycles; longer lengths provide more thermal margin for longer run time or higher load. Share duty cycle + load torque and we’ll recommend a safe length.
Coreless designs often respond faster and handle frequent speed changes well due to lower inertia, which can improve control stability in dynamic mechanisms.
Voltage/winding, ratio, shaft specification, wires/connectors, pinion gear, and encoder option. We can freeze these on drawing/datasheet for repeat builds.
